The 25 portuguese masks of this collection can be seen until 30 July in the Mercado Municipal gallery of Pinhal Novo (near Palmela). Nearby, in the foyer of Auditório Municipal, the exhibition is completed with 16 photos taken in 1990 by André Gago, Joaquim Nicolau and Carlos Oliveira, during their intensive investigation on the masked festivities in the northeast portuguese region of Trás-os-Montes. In late 1991, the first exhibition was presented in Brussels and Lisboa. Since then, the exhibition has grown and keeps traveling around Portugal: Porto, Vila Real de Santo António, Loures, Cascais, Alcochete and Beja are some of the places that those extraordinary masks from winter festivities have already visited.
